As a consequence of the most recent events with which you are familiar from the media, after 26 years of our existence, aircraft of our company were grounded and planned flights cancelled. Therefore, we are obliged to address you in this way and try to clarify the situation in which we all find at the moment. For us, such a radical decision of the Government of Montenegro was totally unexpected and we were not able to promptly suspend sale and cancel flights, in order to at least partially protect the passengers that plan to buy the tickets; as well as those passengers who already bought the tickets. The very next day, account of our company was blocked by Tax Administration. We did not have the opportunity nor time to apply the procedure of taking care of passengers to the final destination, by using another route or airline, which is regularly the procedure in case of flight cancellation. As of December 25, the company has no funds on the account with which it could refund any purchased and unused tickets. In addition to this, the partner companies have decided not to accept the passengers with our tickets on their flights, and the so-called involuntary rerouting procedure cannot be applied. We fully understand the dissatisfaction and negative reactions regarding the current situation and we do our best to get the opportunity to take care of passengers in the manner prescribed by the rules in air traffic. The list of passengers from cancelled flights have been saved, and we hope that the company will be able to offer you a replacement for other dates or a refund in the coming period. Unfortunately, for the first time in 23 years of flying, we betrayed your trust. The company understands and sympathizes with all the passengers to whom this has caused enormous inconvenience and damage. With apologies, we thank you for your understanding and look forward to a soon resolution to this difficult situation for all of us. Yours Montenegro Airlines!" 😏 , .
